trx rims

Does anyone know if you can machine the TRX rims to accept 15" tires? I have heard rumors that people have done it but can't find any confirmation on the web.
It sure would save a ton of money and I get to keep the original look of my car.

I have never heard of this. What would be the benifit of putting a 15in tire on a 14 in rim
