Default Tire Pressure-How Much is Best?

I have stock BF Goodrich Tires that came with my '05 V6 Ragtop.
The maximum pressure indicates 45 PSI, but the tires are currently at 32 psi.
Is that too low? I know I will have a harder ride the more pressure I put in.
Should I be at the Max, or closer to 45 psi than I am now?

On my 01 sticker says 30 PSI, that's what I set my tires today. Look for sticker on the glove box door, open the door.

yes, you should follow the manufacturer's recommendations. It will be on your door jamb or in your owner's manual.

I would run them at around 37-38 on the street.

^^^ I agree. My BFG tires say 44Psi on the sidewall. I run them between 35 and 40. The owners manual is only good for the factory tires and even then can be incorrect because they are typically based on a 35 Max psi tire.

Thanks for All the replies...I am going with 35-37...One of my front tires got down to about 30 and taking a corner I heard a squeel a little...

Is it possible to love a car more every mile you drive it?

usuallyt you want to run lower profile tires on the high side for pressure, because when you hit a pothole, it decreases your chances of Bending the rim (dont ask how I know) Also, dont over inflate because you will balloon your tires, and dont underinflate, because your will put increased wear on the outside of your tires as well as cause them to get excessivly hot on highways, which could lead to a blowout.
