My friend is having trouble with his auto. The higher the rpm, the more his transmission slips. It pulls hard till about 3600, starts slipping, then when it reaches 4-4400 rpm it will just let go all together. He said it feels like it's fighting something then completely lets go & acts like it's in neutral until he lets off the gas. His fluid was pink back in april, now it's a very dark color. He also said when it's getting ready to shift to 2nd & he punches it, it acts like it's trying to stay in first, but can't. He said he used to be able to do WOT shifts at 50mph & chirp the tires, but he only did that twice. After that he couldn't do it anymore & it keeps getting worse & worse.

Any ideas?

 

yep it needs a tranny.When something involving slipping starts to happen its over.No tranny shop in the world will take in a auto and try to fix something stupid they are going to rebuild it no matter what.There isnt many things that it can be other than a worn tranny
