Default Questions on purchasing rolling chassis and building up.

Hey all, quick (maybe) question for you. I am contemplating purchasing a rolling chassis for a winter project and building a mustang for my self. I have seen a couple on ebay, but was wondering if it might be better to look on here? Who has done this, and how did it turn out? I would like to find something like a rolling cobra chassis. Suggestions? Also what motors will fit in what years? Are they interchangable?

Thanks
Charlie

A used chassis is for sale because there's no body around to go on it.I would wonder why?Could it have been in a severe wreck and the body parts won't fit anymore?I built a HD chopper once that started out as a rolling basket case with a lot of parts and it ended three years later with a lot of parts and little $$$$.So I'm kinda sour on rolling projects. What do you think about one of the old style Cobra kit cars or even a replica GT 40?These aren't cheap or quick to build but as far as i've seen the kits seem to be of pretty good quality.

I was actually thinking more like a rolling body. Not just the chassis. Basically everything there without motor and trans. Alot of people undertake these projects?

I think it's a great idea. You could choose almost any drivetrain combo you like and make something really cool.

Sidewayz 6.0 is doing a fox right now.

That might not be a bad idea after all.To be able to build something that you can start from the ground up would be a great opportunity.
