recalled paint?
HI! I own a 1986 mustang and they guy i bought the car from got a paint job done in 94'. The paint is peeled off, so now the front of my car is yellow and the rest is gray. Does anyone know where i can go to see if the paint was recalled or how to at least fix this problem. Thank You
There would not be any recall on a repaint, there are too many varibles in paint job to blame the paint itself. The only time you ever get a recall is if the car was fairly new and it was still factory paint. Go to a good body shop and get an estamate, it's going to cost a fair amount to get fixed but that is just a part of this hobby.

But then again - You get what you pay for!
Good luck in what you decide.
WHERE is it peeling?? Is peeling off of the METAL, or the PLASTIC bumper trim?? If its peeling from the metal then they did a pretty sh*tty paint job and you'll have to spend some money to re-paint the car - or just the bad part if you do a good match. If its just the 3 inch plastic trim that wraps around the car, then that could be stripped/sanded/repainted pretty affordably. That trim peice on the Fox bodies is notorious for fading and peeling, exposing the yellow color of the base plastic.
