Background Info: Ok so I have had my stang since September and probably only driven it about 3 months. It has been in and out of the shop, through 5 clutches and 3 clutch cables. when I bought the car, the previous owner passed on a cross reference guide for other cars with the "same motor", He stuck the wrong Harmonic Balancer on the car. Now there is a loud thumping sound coming from the flywheel moving up and down. It has been suggested that the crank bearing may be shot and the bottom end needs to be rebuilt. I am still a newbie to owning a car (this is my first car).

What am i looking to pay for a new crank, bearings and connecting rod, and anything else I may need? Also where do i find this stuff?
