My passenger door is a bitch to open. From the outside it feels like it doesnt grab until you pull the handle half way up then it does and it makes kind of a popping sound, where as on the inside it doesnt grab until you pull it all the way back. Every person has a problem opening my door. It seems to me it gives people the impression my car is a piece of ****. How can I adjust it or fix it so that it grabs/opens like my drivers side door? Do I take off the door panel and **** around with the wires or what?

 

I had the same problem. I just changed the door handle and the door latch and it works fine now. You can get both parts at 50resto.com.

 

ok well i have a problem with body my door handle, I HAVE NONE. now i get the passenger side one i just have to wait till next week to get the driver side. how do i put these on. I figured i would drill out the pop rivets holding it on and then put the other one on but i know there is something that you have to put the door handle on inside the door. how hard is it to do this and can i just use any pop rivets that are the right size or do i need special ones.

 

Where did you get the door handles from? they usually come with rivets. If not go to 50resto.com and they have them. As for installing them you need a rivet gun,which 50resto has. I had to use a hammer and hammer the metal back in place. When I took out the old rivets, the opening was too big and the new rivets would not catch. Before you put the new rivets in, make sure the opening is not too big. Thats about it.Its fairly simple. Good luck.
