2001 GT won't start after/during storage
Here is a good one, had this Mustang for 3 years.Bought mid summer, run great, stored in the winter inside (Non heated garage) wouldn't start all winter. Spring came, started, ran all summer long, stored for the winter #2 (Stabil and some HEET this time) won't start all winter, spring came started and ran all summer, stored this winter #3.... WON"T start!
FUEL PROBLEM .Can't hear fuel pump run, no pressure at schrader valve, but voltage at fuel pump plug. But when the weather warms up, she'll run coast to coast all summer long. What is getting affected by the cold????

Your guess is as good as mine. I'd start with a cca test on the battery while its acting up, then I'd disconnect the fuel line to fuel filter and prime the pump. If you get fuel reconnect it, check after the filter. If not most likely the pump is going. This is a shot in the dark at best though, here in tx I don't see much cold weather. Keep us posted and good luck.

Well just like the past 3 years.....It got up to 60 degrees today and the 01 GT started for the first time since October. Runs like a top. Could it be the cold fuel in the tank is affecting the pumps electronics?

I would be curios to know the answer to this as well. I just bought a 94 gt and it starts fine when it is nice out. If it is cold in the morning, It will not try to fire. Do you hear your fuel pump when you turn the key on? I can in mine but no start. So I will follow this to see if you figure it out before I do.

Your battery is weak. Batteries have to work harder when the temperature drops. If the battery is weak it won’t be able to produce enough amps to start the car. Conversely when the temperature rises, the battery doesn’t have to work as hard and it can start the car.
As blu30val suggested, take the battery to your local auto parts store and have them do a load (cca) test on it. I’m willing to bet that the battery is weak. Good luck...

Ok. When you checked for pressure was it primed? If so, disconnect the fuel line before the fuel filter and prime again. If you get fluid flow, check post filter. I'll have to get back to you on a noise from the pump.

That doesn’t mean anything. Have the battery tested. It takes less then 2 minutes (not including travel time to the auto parts store).
Thats not necessarily true. If the ground for the fuel pump was disconnected you would have voltage at the pump, but the pump won’t run. You need both power & ground for an electrical component to work.
