How did everyone get the tint to stick to the dot matrix on the back window? My installer used silicon, you can't tell from the outside but it looks like dog poo from the inside.
well my car now came with tint but my last car my tinter (i know the guy) just told me to wait about 3 or 4 days for the water to dry under the tint and then press it down with my thumb it worked fairly well. looged good inside and out but did take a little time to get it all nown nice.
I tint on the side. The best thing I have found to use is a blue elmer's glue stick. Put a light film on, apply the tint as normal, and there you have it.
My tinter tried, but couldn't cover the dots with tint. So he cut the tint off just below the dots. Doesn't look too bad, but is visible in the rear view mirror.
You just have to be patient and keep working the tint over the dot matrix. I've never had a problem with it, just be patient and willing to make your neck/shoulders sore for a couple days.
I think when I got my tints, they filed down the dots so they weren't as much of a hassle then applied vinyl after that, looks fine now so im not complaining lol
