Hot Fox Swap

RE: Hot Fox Swap
Don't worry about a C-6 trans, C-4 will work fine.
Worry about finding an 8.8" rear instead, you WILL granade the 7.5.
Carb, Go junkin', find hooly vacum secondary 4 barrel of some 70's Ford truck, there are millions of them. Rebuild it.
You will need to get electric pump out of the tank and use 3/8 hard line to the front of the car.
You will also need to do some wiring for the ignition system.......

RE: Hot Fox Swap
Does Edelbrock even make a carb for a '71 2-Bbl intake? I am hoping to keep the original intake, but the mechanic I am working with says it may be too far gone to use anymore. I would like to stick with a carbed engine for now. Are there any good aftermarket 2-Bbl intakes for this engine? Thanks for all your help.

RE: Hot Fox Swap
forget the 2barrel.
go ahead and buy a 4bbl intake and a good carb. both edlebrock and holly make 2barrel carbs some racing classes dictate that you can only run a 2 barrel so you can buy a fairly large one like 550 cfm but i would consider somthink like a 650 cfm 4 barrel you won't be sorry.
as far as a good two barrel intake just buy the 4 barrel and get an adapter form autoz0ne
