Default 98 mustang dome light issues

ok i have a 98 GT the dome light or map light do not work. door chimes work, does not come on with headlight switch either fuse in the fuse box is good and everything else works besides the door locks and trunk button. its not a big deal i just would like for it to work lol sucks at night

If you're positive the bulb and fuses are good then it's time to look into the trickier things. Check all the connectors and the wiring. Some sort of switch / relay could have gone bad as well.

Get to the wiring in the dome light, 3 wires, black and white=ground, black =always hot? And green and red= positive at switch? Or other way around. anyways, test to make sure all wires function properly, if so just rewire positive wire to either a door trigger or your own toggle switch and bam, dome light works, if not, the dome light fixture might be damaged.
