Im currently trying to put togather a future project car .. does anyone here have any experience with the Targa Roof conversion kit from mustangTurning.com? i was thinking of doing thatin carbon fiber/ carbon fiber mach II hood/ carbon fiber Trunk / Cqarbon fiber alt tezzas brake lights ... onlything i think that sucks is i cant paint these parts .. but the wieght reduction will be good

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've seen carbon fiber painted before.

 

I would tend to agree that CF is paintable.

 

I know that it is probably designed to account for the lack of body on the car once the roof is removed, but removing the top on a car that was designed to be a full coupe seems like a terrible idea to me. My friend had an old Supra, and driving with the top off made it feel as if we were riding a piece of tin foil over 10,000 speed bumps.
