i have a 2001 mustang v-6. I want to buy a seperate gauge console so I can put some white face gauges in it and stuff, but dont want to mess with the one i have in the car just incase i break somthing......anyway my question is, if i buy a used console off ebay and i install my gauges and stuff, when i take the one out from my car and put this one in, will it show my milage, or the milage from the car that it came from? and also, if it will have the milage from the car it came from, is there a way to set it my milage, how much would that cost and where would that b done or how? thanx for ur help in advance......

You will have to take the electronics off of the back of your guages and put them on the ones you buy. Otherwise the passive anti-theft system (PATS) in your vehicle will not allow your car to start.
