Default New to me 427

So i recently Picked up an 86 gt with a 427 stroker and 2 speed power glide. 13:1 compression (what he told me) 205 lbs of compression.
He said he had been running 50/50 race fuel and pump fuel.
I ordered 3 bottles of torco race accelerator octane booster. They state i can use it to up 91 to 101. That comes to about 50$ total for 10 gal of gas. Race fuel seems to be triple that around here. Is this safe to do? Will i hear it ping with it being so loud? i only plan on using this mixture for street use not track.

191 PSI.

Atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi rounded up, and the compression ratio is 13:1, the equation to solve for
the psi is (14.7*13)/1. Therefore, the answer is ~191 psi.

With a compression ratio that high, you need 110 octane to keep it from detonating.

93 octane is only good to 10.5 - 11:1 - You MIGHT be able to get away with a mix of race and 93.

Mazda's new I4 SkyActive will be a compression ignited GAS motor, and it has
13:1 compression. 13:1 is where diesel motors start on compression ratio...

The SkyActive actually has spark plugs and fires a preliminary, small fuel charge to get things heated up enough to ignite the remainder of injected fuel. So, I'm guessing the injectors operate twice for each power stroke, the first time being very quick, considerably before Top Center. imp
