Default Sound under shifter

I have 1,000 miles on my new GT 5.0 six-speed. I’ve noticed in the higher gears that I have a sound under the shifter that I only hear under power. When I coast, it goes away. It’s not really noticeable when the radio is on. Is this a normal sound?? I’m a first-time owner. It sounds like the gears in the transmission. Thanks

Probably just some gear whine or growling. It should subside after
some use. If it gets louder, then take it to the dealer and let them
hear it.

Yeah, don't mess with it, see if time takes it away. If not go to dealer and if they ask if you've done anything to it, you can honestly say "No" and keep that warranty alive.

Good luck.

It also could be a very slight alignment issue. They don't test drive each model.
