Hi, My name is Rob and I am new here. Just purchased a 2001 mustang gt. It is the first mustang I have ever owned and love driving the car. It has a 5 spd manual transmission which makes the car awesome to drive. Anyway, I have been looking for a lip for the front bumper but many I have seen on ebay seem cheap. Some I have seen are just held on with 2 sided tape which seems to me would not stay on for very long. Has anyone installed a front lip on their car and if so can you recommend one to me? Thanks

 

Mach 1 chin spoiler is what you're looking for. AmericanMuscle, LatemodelRestoration and several others carry it. Most are supplied with mounting hardware, if not it's not that difficult to figure out.

 

Thanks, I will check there. The ones on ebay look like they would blow off at 40mph.

looks like a tape job, but if you clean the surfaces really well, and use an adhesion promoter that tape will never come off. Little bit of a heatgun on it will help too.

Comes with all the hardware to mount, but I used sheet metal screws instead of the plastic ones supplied.
