Default Sizzling Headers

Hi, God Day to all. i’m a new member , eversince I installed headers I hear sizzling sound coming from the right passenger headers. AC condensate drips and to my headers and sizzles. Is it okay and wont crack the headers (kooks SS 304)? or wont hurt them in the long run? Or any ideas to avoid it. Thank you very much.

I don't have headers, but yes the AC condenser tube just drops right there on the left side of my engine...during summer I sometimes hear sizzles too... I would think drops wouldn't affect it...

You should be fine. Submerging them while at 400°F+ might not be cool, but a few drops of water here and there won't hurt anything.

99-02 mustang V6 models suffered from cracking of the exhaust header flange for this exact reason with the OEM exhaust. LT headers vs OEM is obviously different but, the fix was to add a tube to the drain pipe from the AC to move the water away from that area. I would advise the same fix in your case. Short term no problem but long term you may get a stress crack.

You can always re-route the water drain with a hose.
