Default Carb Conversion Help

I bought a carb conversion kit from jegs and hooked it all up. I’m supposed to hook a loose yellow wire up to the tach wire to work the tach. Can anyone help me find the tach wire please? My car is a 1999 Mustang GT.

You can use any coil pack signal wire for that.

I went this route because my theft system kept getting thrown, and the people at Jegs said I’d basically throw my ecu away. Now my tach won’t work and my transmission won’t shift.

So if I get rid of my ECU, I won’t be able to use an old coil pack wire, right? If that is the case, where can I one the actual tach wire?

I believe the wire is tan w/ yellow stripe. Could be orange/white though.

Thank you, when I get off work I will try that. Is there anyway to address the transmission not shifting?

That's a good question. The transmission is PCM-controlled, so I imagine you'd probably have to get some sort of standalone controller for it. I bet somebody in the Classic Tech section would know.
