I disconnected my battery and re-hooked it up and it’s in fail safe engine mode how do I get out of it I tried everything

 

Guessing you'll have to take it to the dealer to have a reset code cleared or something like that. I know BMW makes it virtually impossible for a routine battery swap. Maybe Ford and everyone else is doing it now because of all the electronics.
