Hmm. Two short trips without the aftermarket stop lamp, and no complaints from the Mustang. We'll swap the OEM light back in and see what happens.

Nope. Not the stop lamp.
Turns out that the Maestro RR idatalink unit is the culprit. Crutchfiled says they'll send out a new one for me.
