Need help locating A/C evap drain pipe
My A/C is blowing not so cold. Freon level is normal and the compressor does kick on. Though I noticed NO water dripping underneath while the car sits running with the A/C on max. The cabin air filter was replaced not all that long ago, and still looks okay (not that dirty). I suspect MAYBE a dirty/clogged condenser & evaporator, but I can't seem to locate where the evaporator drain pipe is located on mine (2012 GT). I looked around the passenger side firewall to the right of the battery tray, but couldn't see it. I'm about at the point of going to the stealership to have it diagnosed, if I can't locate the evap drain pipe and clean myself (assuming that's the culprit).
Freon level tells you nothing of whether or not the AC system is healthy. Get a set of manifold gauges and get readings of the low and high side of the AC and bring those results back here or, look up a troubleshooting guide like this one to point you in the right direction.
You should be able to rent one for free from Autozone. Ideally, if you plan on learning about cars, I would recommend buying an inexpensive kit from Amazon.
Very basic set up.
Higher end set with more fittings for using on a wider range of vehicles.
most auto parts stores will offer gauges too but you'll pay retail for them.
Harbor Freight is decent if they have them
