Default No start need help.

I have a 1990 ford mustang foxbody with a 5.0. My buddy needs my help to get it started but i dont no squat about efi cars or mustangs in general. This thing wont start, but will run off starting fluid. the fuel is making its way to the engine but im not sure if its just not firing or maybe there is vacuum leaks. what are some stuff i should check to be sure?

And should i carb swap it?

why would you carb swap it? Engine and the electronic controls are designed to work with EFI. If it runs on starter fluid, it's a fueling problem.
When did the problem start?
Do you have fuel pressure?
How old is the fuel?
Did you verify fuel in the tank?

Well thats not necessarily true, you can rip out all the electronics and pit a carb intake and some sort of holly carb, and the engine will run fine, my Gt is a manual so there is no computer for the fuel trim or trans, i wanna swap it because im pretty sure its the computer causing this issue. I put brand new cas in the car and the gas reaches the engine. It could be a cracked intake manifold with is another reason why i want to get a new one for a carb. I havent landed on a decision yet but i also just really hate efi cars
