Are u hitting the brakes? Your rotors could be warped.

Check the universal joints, I had that problem then one day my driveshaft fell out, so check it as soon as you can and try not to beat on it. If there is play in the u joints, they need to be replaced, and if it is broken, look into the u-bolts that cover the sides of the u-joint too.

agree with both responses. Had the exact same scenario, and it was a loose u-joint at the trans end. If the brakes are being applied, then you've got a warped rotor/drum. If all checks good, I might be stretching it, but you might want to take a glance at your motor mounts or tranny mount.

the u joint itself is 12 bucks, you could even do it yourself, just pull the driveshaft (take out the 2 u-bolts holding the rear u-joint in place, and slide it out of the tranny) also, plug up the tranny so all the fluid doesnt spill all over. to get the u-joint out of the driveshaft, just get a socket that fits onto the cap and put it in a vice to push the other cap off, then do the same with the other side. putting it back in is the same thing, just make sure the needle bearings dont get out of order or fall out, because it will just blow the u-joint out. or if you feel the need to have someone else do it, it shouldnt be more than 30 bucks.

DEFINITLY SOUNDS LIKE THE U JOINTS VERY CHEAP AT ANY PARTS STORE AND THEY ARE EASY TO REPLACE YOURSELF.

mine did that at one point, it turned out my stearing wheel was off. i took it to an alignment shop because i thought it could have beent he allignment, and they said it was just the stearing wheel off. and they fixed it for me.

but yours could be different... allignment checks are free... so why the heck not?
