i dont know if this matters but what kind of gas are u putting in? i know the higher octanes burn hotter and more efficiently but.....no i dont know....i just replaced my water pump cuz it was leaking....i put the higher oc gas in couple weeks before it started doing it so i dont know if that could have caused it?....help me out here

yes, it's been overheating
Only thing I can think of is a clog. Does your heater work? If not then you can trace it back from there. If so..it's gotta be somewhere in teh block where the clog is, perhaps some junk got into the head passages when you replaced the intake gaskets.

The higher octane gas doesn't burn hot enough to cause such a problem. The difference isn't that huge. The biggest difference in the octanes of fuel is resistance to detonation.

Higher octane fuel causing your water pump to crack and leak? Very unlikely, just coincidence.
