hey i have a delemia i have a 1989 notch with extensive floor rot i was looking a cjs pony parts and they have a full floor replace ment for 295 bucks i was wondeing if having this done would help or be a waste of time the body is decent my father traded me this car and i told him i wouldnt sell it because he had it since it was new and he is gettin old its a 2.3 five speed but i would like to 351 it but i know with the way it is i would twist it up

i would go head and get the floor pans if you can weld you can put them in your self i have done a couple over the past few years its not as hard as it looks.

yeah i have too but im looking at it like this i can get the whole floor and trans tunnel firewall to back bumper for 30 bucks more and see that as a better option just wondering what the job entails

Have you tried using a wire brush/wheel to try to get some of the rust out. My WHOLE interior was rusted (thank god only surface rust) but I ended up stripping the whole thing w/ a wire brush/wheel. It just goes on the end of a drill. You should try it out. It will take it down to the metal. But if its as bad as you say it is, than just forget it and get new ones.
