guys im having some technical difficulties.... im attempting to drop a 351 punched out to a 418 in my 94 gt has anyone done this to a 94 or 95? did they run into any tech problems? i know i need different headers, and a different upper and lower intake... will my tranny bolt up???? i have an aode... i was also told i would have alot of computer issues once the engine is in because im keeping it injected!!! anyone know anything?????????

if the aode was bolted to a 302 originally, it will work.

the upper intake will work but you won't want to use it very restrictive.
but over all a 302 to a 351 is a easy swap. your main thing is your computer will have to be tuned to it. i also think you will have to get a new oilpan and for a 351

if you want to use your stock accessories you will need new accessory brackets also

It really dosent matter if your tranny fits or not beause theres no way your going to be able to run a stock AODE w/ a 418. Also, you really just need to get everything new (heads, full exhaust, full induction system, trans, upgrade rear, suspension, fuel, ignition, etc. If you are not going to do all of that theres no point of building a 418. If you want a nice cruiser w/ good hp build a 331 or something. If you want a absolute beast, build a 418. But there will need to be alot of work.
