Best thing you can do is go to one of the quick oil change outlets and have them do the auto tranny flush service. It flushes ALL the fluid out of your auto and torque converter and replaces every drop with fresh fluid. Dropping the pan and just changing that fluid and installing a new filter is just plain BS and accomplishes virtually nothing. Even if your tranny's dipstick fluid looks pink on the end, guaranteed the fluid you see with the flush will be absolutely black! Can't say enough about this type of service if you have an automatic. Do it once every couple of years depending upon mileage or be nuts like many of us Mustang owners and change it each spring. If you only drive summers, every other year is more than enough to keep your tranny in top shape.
