I was wondering if i should get a throttle body after i get my intake and exhaust system and if it will give that much of an increase in power and what kind

 

If you do, you will have to port the intake opening to match the new T/B. Otherwise, you can actually lose power.

 

Get a better plenum when you get the T/B.A better flowing plenum gives bigger gains than a bigger T/B.MM&FF did a test(Apr 04)on a near stock 02 GT that gave a 10 HP and 10 FT/LBS of torque.A 75mm Accufab T/B was added and and the numbers went up by 2 HP and 3 FT/LBS of torque.A bigger T/B without a bigger plenum opening would cause turbulence in the upper intake and probably cost you a couple of horses.

 

Get the intake and yes get a bigger throttle body AFTER the intake.

 

Yea, there are alot of reputable companies who make throttle bodies (accufab, bbk, etc. etc. etc.)

 

i wouldn't bother...you won't benefit until heads are swapped.

maybe .005 but not even worth getting your hands dirty.

 

sure he would benefit. why would you say that? are you telling me the stock tb would be the same result if he used a aftermarker tb? tsk tsk tsk. yes, get the bigger tb. i was putting out 300+ with stock heads and that would included a bigger tb.
