hi i was woundering if i bought a stroker crank for my 351 would i need special rods and pistons or can i use the stock ones also what crank do you recomend for a n/a engine and a low cost.

most people go with a 408 it is a modifed 400m crank ya use chevy 454 rods and then you can buy the pistons form pretty much any good piston manfacurer. your block will also have to be preped for all of this.

I wouldn't think you would want to use the stock parts even if they would fit (they usually won't). You put a stroker in to get a lot more power so its best to go with robust aftermarket parts that can handle it well.

They have a crank out its a 393 ci crank it use stock 351 rods and a 302 piston that would be the cheapest kit I know of.and with good C/H/I make big H/P. But I would keep the rpms down below 6000. Scat makes this Crank and you can also buy it from Ford,Scat also so make it for them.it will bolt right in to a Windsor block but you may have grind the block some for clearance at the bottom of the bores just like a stroker 302 motor.I am not sure as I have not built a 393 yet.
