Default RE: hood scoops

But in all seriousness, you can buy a nice aftermarket hood (not the cheap ones) and you will be much happier.
i think this is part of the reasoning why he only wants a GT scoop

a nice quality hood is gonna run more than 50 dollars (MUCH MORE) then add in a QUALITY paint job and your looking at probably more than 500 dollars total, when the scoop would have done just fine

i want a scoop on mine as well, (i know there are two different ones, and one of them is bigger and a tad taller, thats the one i want)

but anyways, i dont want to spend that much on it,

i do have a question, do you guys think it would look cool to paint it a flat black? or to go ahead and get it painted to match my car(its dark atlantic blue)

Okay I see, yeah for cheapness, putting a scoop on will be pretty simple- just make sure that it is straight. as for the question, same as car or flat black.... I would definately say flat black. Having a paint shop trying to match up the scoop and hood might be a nightmare. They more than likely wont get it perfect and you dont want a 2 tone. Black would look pretty sharp too.

By the way, how are these attached? Are they screwed in, or body putty or what? Just curious...
