I have a 302 from a 1993 t-bird(same as 94-95) Mustang. I would like to remopve the a/c compressor for weight savings. Has anyone else done that and what length belt did you use?

i bought my car with a procharger and ran into the same prob when i shreded my belt at the track. Ihad no idea what belt size to use so i started with a stock one and kept tryin till i got one that fit lol. What a pain in the *** but now i know what size it is. Just be sure to get the right rib number

 

do you have smog pump? under drive pulleys?
take a long piece of string and route it around your pulleys leave out the a/c
and where the one end of string over laps the other end cut it even and then
strech it out and measure it, thats the length you need
