Default Once again fuel pump question

ok well one day all of a sudden my fuel pump just stopped working, now i know that its getting power going to it and I checked the little switch in back to make sure that it was fine and its all good but I wanted to know if my fuel pump could have just died on me like that. I wasn't driving it while it happened i just went out to my car and it wouldn't start so i turned the key and I didn't hear the fuel pump turn on so I came one here and got really no anwsers but now i know the problem.

So my questions are can the fuel pump died all of a sudden like that, and how hard is it to replace it and what do i have to do to change it.

yes they can just go out like that on you. an old trick is some times you can get home when it does buy hitting th bottome of the gass tank and it will free it up but its still bad.

they arn't that hard to change but you will have to drop the gass tank and becasue ti has to come out of the top of the fuel tank.

try pushing the button in ur trunk behind the cover thing on the drivers side,it will be like right in front of the left tail lights inside ur trunk,it resets it ...

replacing the pump is somewhat easy, but ive done it a couple times, make sure u dont have alotta gas in the gas tank when u drop it and make sure u have the fuel pump connector in the trunk(right below the reset button) unhooked so u dont get sprayed in the face when disconnecting the fuel filter,if u need more detailed instructions let us know its not that difficult if ya know what to do

ok yea, i checked the reset switch before and that was fine. So looks like i have to order a new fuel pump which sucks but whatever i just need it to run again because my mom is going to drive it. she drives a max of 5 miles(down the road to the left and then parks it and takes the bus to work). So i get to use there Ford Ranger which i love.
