Default Saleen Suspension questions: suspension guru's please chime in!

Hey, Saleen experts. Can anyone tell me how much the drop from standard GT's that you get from the Saleen springs? I know Roush is 1 inch, Ford Racing 1.5 inches, etc.

Better yet, can anyone remember the post that someone had done on the spring rates and drop for all of the major spring and suspension players. The reason I ask is that I am now looking toward the suspension as the next possible mod.

mash, I didn't go through it, but one of the major threads is on lowering your car and related info (spring rates, etc.). I'd start looking there: https://mustangforums.com/m_934501/tm.htm

Thanks, but I have checked that one. Good info, but not what I am looking for.

Hey mash, ive been looking into the saleens as well and they lower the car roughly about an inch. If your doing 20 inch rims, it gives a really clean look and u dont have to mess with camber adj problems etc. Let us know what else you find out about saleens or other and prices.

Thanks. I will post whatever good research I can come up with. Check the prices here:

Look at their spring and shock prices. Not too bad.

The Saleen springs give you an inch and a half.

I have a 1.5" drop on my 2001gt with a saleen body kit and 18" wheels. let me say right off the batt that IT IS NOT ENOUGH. The front bumper is WAY to far off the ground and looks odd. I am going to a 2" front and 1.8" rear and i recomend you do the same. I have been seeing many 281's around here and they are definitly lower in the front then the rear and the tires are about in the wheel wells.

Coilovers from EIBACH (http://rpmoutlet.com/musv8plates.htm) are the way to go if you can drop a grand, but you can lower to a 3" max plus you get better compression and rebound setting. Now TOKICO (TOKICO Illumina Adjustable Shocks and Struts) are highly recommende d as well, are a lot less expensive, but get yourself some really low springs and CCP's to balance it out. Those S/S have tons of adjustmants as well.
