Default RE: Engine Kit?

Thats what i was thinking... Why put them in a V6 but not a V8... And yes, i do have a 06 GT Vert... I will be keeping a 50+ hour a week job but moving back home (mom's is moving away) so i get the house for free. I will have no bills and butt load of money to use on my car for mods... So the first thing i want to do is the engine, boost and everything. Just wantto make sure i dont blow anything.

If money is not a big issue then why not just get a completely new built SB. It will cost a couple thousand more but you will have the stock block as a back up or if you decide to revert it back to stock form. Check with VT Engines, Boss330 Racing, or even JDM Engineering they can build you a new block.

The Rods are not forged. They are pressed metal. If your car is automatic then the crank is pressed also. Only the V6 came with forged rods. The manual GT has a nodular iron crank. There are a few companies that are making rotating assemblies for the 3V, just search for them. I would do some searches on Sean Hyland before you buy anything fom them.
+1 - I've heard a lot of talk on these boards and links to Sean Hyland Motorsports. They're engine kits are junk IMO. Plenty of other places out there to purchase kits from. You can even pick pieces of the assembly for your builder. Everything is going to have to get balanced so I like the idea of shopping around for the best parts to complete your asssembly. Personally, I like the probe pistons but that's just me. The rods are the weakest link in the V8 IMO.

See, i was looking over crate engines last night but see, i have no idea what would fit and what to go for. Ford Racing has this which looked very good to me but then again, i know nothing about engines.

This was the engine i was looking at

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=9290

But also... I have no desire to make like a 700HP monster. I will be using this car as a daily driver and i was thinking around 450-500RWHP is MORE then enough. I can't decide to go S/C or Turbo but i know i need to redo the inside of the engine. That link i had before was just the first one i saw on Google and the price, around 2,000 seems about what i expected. I would def be willing to pay more if there was a better quality kit out there, i just have NO idea where to look lol.
