Just got back from a drive. 2nd gear at 6000rpm hit dead top center 70mph on the speedo. Did it 3 times (one time it was a needle width above 70mph). Again, completely stock 2006 GT with top up.
Took below picture when I got back.

old thread, but what ever..
I did a few runs yesterday and found this...
71 in 2nd at exactly 6000rpm, and 119 in 3rd at 6000...
I found a sweet road in the middle of nowhere that I was able to do a few practice runs for shifting
and some take-off practicing, and I had wrote these numbers down after several passes.
And one of the earlier replies was dead-on, You can feel a drop in acceleration after 5750-5800 rpms..
A good place to shift during racing would probably be right before 6000 with a stock stang
