Default RE: Stone chips, how to prevent

Y'all think y'all have bad roads! Try down here in South Louisiana, we have to have the worst roads in the US. Hell you can tell when you cross the border into another state with your eyes closed. I had my car 4 days when my windshield got cracked by a stone. By the time I reached home (bout an hour) the crack had run to about 18 inches. I'm bringing it in this morning to get the windshield replaced. I think the glass that they put in all cars is more brittle than it use to be.
