Default Anyone have satellite radio?

I have an XM Skyfi2. I'm not happy with the wireless modulator and am thinking of buying the Delphi FM modulator to block out the static. If anyone has done this, please let me know how it worked out.

I have XM MiFi and when I start to get any static, I just change the FM freq... the static is usually caused by a local radio station...

I posted a gynormous install How-To in a thread. I'll link it to you.

It tells you how to install a Skifi2 without any exposed wiring and it (when tilted up towards the windshield) does not interfere with any of your radio controls and all buttons are still accessible.

GGIII,

Thanks for the link. Those are some great instructions! (although, I won't be doing it myself). I already have everything installed except the modulator. Acutally, I used the vehicle specific mounting bracket from Pro-fit international and it fits great. I learned the hard way with my 2000 mustang not to glue anything to the dash. They never stick and I wound up ruining the dashboard when I tried superglue.

So I assume the modulator from Delphi is compatible? no extra parts needed? I know you said no wiring is showing which is good. Did it eliminate the static? Do you have any problems using FM?

Dawn

I ended up using a toggle bolt, don't know if I put that in the instructions. Holds it perfectly.

You don't use the old Skyfi1 FM modulator (the big one)

There is a smaller one you use. No big issues, still a little static but it's just because of the quality issues with our midrange setups.

I updated my instruction thread with the toggle-bolt bit.
