Whipple S/C
So... I was reading the latest MM&FF and, well... I don't want to be "just another GT" when the 500 comes out.
That being said... I want a Wipple... Those numbers in the magazine astound me, and I'm more than willing to shell out the dough.
I've been looking through the Whipple catalogue and think I'd want to go with the Tuner package (Intercooled black) instead of the 10+ PSI, simply for monetary reasons.
So what are the thoughts on this? A good place to buy the blower?
As always, appreciate the help.

RE: Whipple S/C
it looks like it will be a great kit, IF it ever goes into production!! that kit was supposed to be out how long ago and they are still saying a couple more months.
i would love to get the intercooled kit, i would def not get the 10+ psi kit will stockinternals though.

It does sound really appealing. And given the money they put into it it will get into production at some point. Even then, I want to wait a bit and talk to a few people who have them to see how they are and give time for whipple to sort initial bugs out.
But out of all the SC kits it sounds great. And after talking with whipple about it, it sounds even better. Installation is supposed to be easier than saleen or roush.

RE: Whipple S/C
I would not choose a blower based on "how much HP does it make".
All the screw type Mustang superchargers have very similar displacement. That means if you gathered a few different blowers (KB, Saleen, Whipple, etc.) and configured them to run the same boost and loaded similar tunes, you'd be getting very similar power from each one.
I would make my decision on the completeness of the kit, performance of the intercooler, warranty, support offered by the company, and so forth.
If the Whipple makes more HP than the Saleen ("stock for stock") it's only becasue the whipple comes with either more boost or a more agressive tune. There's no reason why they all can't perform the same given the right attention to tuning and accessories.

How much does the Saleen make, RW wise? It's expensive...

RWH on my automatic is 373 conservative tune; 380 agressive.
Details are here: https://mustangforums.com/m_1441801/tm.htm
I have seen several manual 5 spds putting out 400RWH with the Saleen, and that is with only 4psi boost.
Thx,
Mike
