Default Painting Question

I'm buying the Cervinis kit for my GT piece by piece at the moment and hope to have it all together in the next few months. I'm doing the California Dream Hood instead of the Cervini's hood, so I'll have something a little different there.

2 questions though:

1. About how much can I expect to pay for the installation and paint work on this project? I'm not doing the pin-stripes, but I am thinking about doing some boss stripes on my hood that split off over the side of the car at the GT symbols. But what are most of you guys paying for a good job on this kit?

2. I noticed that the side mirrors on these cars are painted. How are they doing this? I contacted Cervinis and asked them, but I didn't get an answer. Anyone have any idea on this one?

Thanks for the help.

I dont pay didly for it as I do the work myself. As for how much itll cost, all I gotta say is you get what you pay for. So if you only pay $500, I wouldnt expect the highest quality of work. It can cost as much as $2000 w/ paint. Call around and get quotes thats the best way. You might actually have to take them the car and show it to them, some body shops wont give quotes over the phone.

It all depends on what shop you take it to. For all that work, you're probably gonna end up paying between 1200-3000 for paint, install, etc. About the mirrors, the stock mirrors have a texture, so the body shop would have to sand it or da it down smooth, then primer the hell out of it, then paint it and clear it a few times. That would probably run you about 200-300. Ur kit sounds sweet, be sure to post pics when ur done. Good luck!
