Call some custom tuning shops that YOU might use. Ask which one THEY prefer. Buy that one. I had a Diablo predator for my automatic GT. I got rid of it and bought the SCT II. IMO the SCT II is MUCH better.

I purchased the Diablo Predator & K&N CAI for my 06 manual.Had them both installed at same time & HOLY SH*T what a differance!Brought the car to life!I used the 93 tune & my mechanic advanced the A/F by 5%..(Need to get my Pony to the Dyno to get it right)The car felt strong!You will eventually get use to this upgrade & do another mod then another & then another like the rest of us!

You have the automatic GT. Go with the SCT. The SCT will allow for shift pressure adjustment.

Note: I dont know where you are located, but if you want to get your car dyno'd after installing the tune you will want to make sure that the dyno shop represents either SCT or Diablo.

In my area, St. Louis the Predator is very poorly represented (1) location. The next closest Diablo rep is a 100 or 200 miles away.

The SCT on the other hand is very well represented in the St. Louis area.

Final note: Its not so much the tuning device that you chose, its the talent of the tuner that, in my opinion, is the most important attribute.

There are a number of excellent SCT tuners that will have your Mustang running like a bat otta hell on this forum. They will email tunes directly to you. Prices vary from $50 to $100.

To the best of my knowledge, I havent heard of anyone using the Predator saying that they just loaded a custom tune that was emailed to them. If there is one of these folks around, I would like to test a Predator Custom Tune.

I have a Predator, used it once, then went with the SCT.

I have the SCT X Cal 2 and used the 93 oct tune. It brought my stang to life and i agree the company that tunes it is very important, mine is from Evolution Performance.

The truth is the tuner (SCT or Diablo) is only as good as the guy programming it.

I went with a SCT II and C&L street strip setup from brenspeed. Brent's customer service has ben nothing short of stellar so far. If his tunes work as well as proclaimed, I will be one happy camper. He sets the tune up any way you want and even has different tunes for different states gas quality. Ethanated or not, octane, etc.

Cant wait for the box to arrive this week.
