I bought an HID headlight kit for my 05 gt. Install was pretty straight forward even with no instructions. It came with its own harness they are fine when the engine is not running, but when you start the engine they will start to flicker and sometimes go out completely. I have been told it could be the computer, but I thought that with its own harness this wouldn't be a problem. I was also told that it could be the daytime running lights. disable them but how? any suggestions?

DRLs and HIDs don't mix. Reroute your DRLs to your fogs, if you have a GT. Also, do you have the ballasts for the lights?

i had to trick my HID's with two bulbs due to the power difference. the HID's weren't being recognized so some rerouting was necessary. now its perfect.

I have the ballasts. Now it is hooked up to the original harness of the original bulbs i just tapped them in with vampire clips. Hopefully if I hook them up to the fog lights it will correct it. Thanks for the idea

Woah, are DRL's a mod or is there a way to just enable them on the GT?
