Default shift lights?

I want to get a shift light. How hard are they to hook up? Do you have to splice wires?

Anyone recommend one over another?

I highly reccomend the shift light from Raptor Performance, it is by far the nicest shift light I have ever used.

Stand alone microprocessor based digital shift light for ultra precision!

No tach adaptor needed for newer Distributor-less Ignition Systems. Also, works with other electronic ignitions and points type ignitions. For 1,2,3,4,6,8,10,12 cylinder engines.

Compare competitor's models which require the shift light indicator, RPM activation module, RPM pills, and Tach adaptor!

High strength aluminum housings available in a variety of anodized colors. Kit comes with 2 mounting brackets, a colored lens cover for night driving (same color as leds), a black lens cover for concealing all light, a ten foot cable and shift light operating instructions.

Available in four LED colors. Seven ultra-bright LEDs visible in direct sunlight.

Simply turn the two rotary RPM switches for the desired setting, select the cylinder setting to match your vehicle and cycle the power. The new settings are then stored in memory.

MusicCity is correct. You can also tap a wire by the ECM for the coil signal.

Can anyone recommend one that doesn't cost $90 bucks? I can get a whole tach and light for that much cash.

Just about every other shift light on the market will require a tach adapter because you have to setup the light on a single cylinder, the tach adapter alone costs 80-90 bucks.
