Default Stripe Kits

I was wondering how some of you all got the stripe kits on your GT's.

Did most of them already have them?

Did you put them on yourselves? Dealer put'em on?

I was actually considering the white racing stripes down the front. . . and i was wondering
how hard it would be and who i should get to do it if i consider it.

Thanks

ive gotten quotes for @ 6-900 for decalls and 1650-2000 for painted.

i found a guy who will do decals for $280, but only the hood, roof, and decklid - not on the bumpers or spoiler. I want silver stripes on mine. Havent made up my mind if I can live without them going all the way down the bumpers.

why won't he do the bumpers? And is that price of $280 including the stripes? I don't think it looks right if they don't go all the way done the bumper. If you're only doing the hood then get the ones that end before the end of the hood, looks better IMO.

Alot of places won't do the stick-on strips on the bumpers because it is VERY tedious, and you have to know what your doing for it to look right. Depending on the quality of the vinyl, it may or may not look good over the bends in the bumper. After doing alot of research on my own, I have decided to save up enough cash to do it right: Painted stripes, wet sanded, and then clear-coated. Prices are anywhere between $1,200-1,900.

I can't believe nobody's recommended one of our sponsors here. Try http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/ I bought a set of precut stripes from their eBay store for $99 plus shipping. Sidestripes was another $25. Save yourself a bundle and just do it yourself. Even if you totally screwed it up you could go out and buy another set and still be ahead. Otherwise get them painted if you want to spring for it.
For stripe colrs and types go here: http://www.spectrummarcom.com/mustan...pepainter.html
Hope this helps.

Got mine at www.rallystripes.com . I got the 8 inch kit that I cut to fit for each section. They have a precut kit also that was a little more. I used soapy water to install and the made it very easy.
