IF YOU HAVE CATS, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO MESS WITH YOUR O2 SENSORS . . . like by turning them off by Xcal2. . .

im guessing your cats are messed up, like u blew them out or something, because you don't have to have your O2 sensors disabled.

High flow cats on your car will keep the computer thinking it has the stock cats on it and not throw codes. . . if you throw codes, something is wrong with your cats, or your really don't have any at all, and your car will need to be retuned. . . i'm not sure how much you know about your exhaust, but thats my guess with the info you gave me.
well that is what i was wondering at first, and then I called kooks and they said cats or no cats the rear o2 sensors will go off no matter what, because of the high flow, so i don't know.

is there anyway i can check to see if my cats are messed up. Can I just take it back to the place that installed my headers and exhaust and ask them to check it out for me? I took it to Compare Automotive Mufflers and exhaust, Brakes & Tires. You think they will be able to check it out for me.

And do you think that is the reason the idle error code is being thrown?

Okay, so after I put my long tube headers on, kooks, is when this code started to come up, i would say a few weeks later, maybe a month later. But I checked the way my car was idling, so here is some info for you.

As soon as I start her up, the needle swings up high to 1500 RPM's. It sits there for about 10 seconds maybe, and then it starts to come down to about 1,000.

When I'm driving it, and I come to a stop light, with my foot on the brake, it sits around 800 (can't tell for sure, but that's close, 750 - 900).

Then I checked what it would be when I was in park, just sitting there, when I got to work before turning the car off and it was at 1,000 (when in park).

Is this too high? Or is it maybe too high for what my tune is for, so the idle sensor is throwing that code, as in P0506 Idle Control System RPM Lower Than Expected - meaning, your tune has an idle for this, but the car itself is really idling at this? make sense.

Mine pulled the same code about two weeks after I installed a JLT intake and Magnaflow O/R X pipe. I had a Steeda with stock cats before. Mine is an auto as well. I figured since my car is so loud I have been pulling the car down into drive as soon as it starts to try an quiet the car down so I can ease past my neibors in the morning. I reflashed with the XCAL II and it has not come back so far. Just my two cents.

thanks for the info, i'm thinking it has to do with my tune as well, at least I hope, I wouldn't want it to be the throttle body.
