Put the new alternator on and she runs great again!!! The old one had black powder build up on it. I think the bushings were shot. I don't understand how it wore out so fast. Maybe the UDP'S then turning it around for the Saleen S/C. We'll see how this one holds up.

I guess if it was running away charging it could also have been dragging down and slipping on the belt.

Bad bushings so early would indicate an overly tight or mis-aligned belt, though I guess if it were being knocked around by the EM field it would be none-too-good either...

Glad it is up and running again... Should even have a little more pep now that you are not trying to generate enough power to light up the east coast...
