My girlfriend owns an 02 automatic gt and I myself own an 06 automatic gt (both stock except for axelbacks), had the chance to drive them both yesterday and the 06 was faster by far, even though the 02 has much better throtle response it took FOREVER to get up to 60, I don't see there being much competition between the two cars...

The car's are only 150 or so pounds apart...the extra 40-50 honest hp give the S197 a much better power/weight ratio. Hence the S197 being quite a bit faster in stock form.

The seats will move up in an'05 for height adjustment(oooops shhhhh...don't let her know). Change the shifter in her car so she'll feel like she's changing gears faster.......that was lame, huh? You have the '05, a wife that likes 'Stangs and two 'Stangs in your garage...does life get any better?

Break in youe engine, she will not make all the power she can until she hits about 5k, but should be strong by 2k... You really do not want to get hard on it with only 150 miles... And change the oil at 1,000 with dyno oil before you get on it, change it again at 2500 with dyno then at 5k with 100% synthetic...

Change your tranny fluid at 2500 along with the diff, it makes a nice difference...

You will take him everytime, get a CAI and a tune and you could be sleeping at the wheel and take him...
