RE: constantly dead battery!!! Help!!
I also had a problem with my car. seems the alternator would work ok, then when i turned the car off the alternator would drain the batter...it happened at about 11,600 miles (and its 4 months old, haha). they had to replace the alternator.

RE: constantly dead battery!!! Help!!
When I store my car I lock it and arm the factory anti-theft - and the battery stays charged. However, my battery has died on my twice when just parked for a few days - one time it appears I left a door only half latched, and the other I left the trunk "popped" unlatched. Apparently if these cars are not shut-up tight, the dome will not go off, thus a dead battery. Not sure if either of these are your possible cause but thought I'd share.

IF the car is under a year old, the battery will have a free replacement period. Just have the dealer check your system and replace your battery if needed. Besides, if it's not your battery and your replacement goes bad from say the alternator or something else..the dealer won't replace your aftermarket battery.
I never understand why people (not you in particular) bitch that ford needs a longer warranty period, yet people that HAVE a warranty don't use it and want to fix everything themselves then end up bitching that they had to pay to have it fixed later on by the dealer cos they didn't take it there in the first place and botched it.
Seriously..it's not even a year old. Let the dealer, deal with it and tell them you want a loaner car for the day. They shouldn't argue (ours doesn't)

RE: constantly dead battery!!! Help!!
Last night I did take the battery completely out, and tried to re-charge it, at which point the charger threw a fault code indicating an open cell. So Im heading to get my new Optima Battery. I would love to take it to a dealer, but I will need to take off the CAI, reflash back to stock, schedule an appointment, miss work and get aggrevated over a $50 part. So I will upgrade my battery for a little extra dough and hopefully be done.

Mine went bad and I had to take it to two dealers to get one that would check it properly. I did not take my CAI off or reflash or anything. They replaced it on the spot while I waited. The problem is if you continue to have problems now you have changed the battery yourself and that might throw a flag up at the dealer. The dealer told me the battery is under warranty for the normal 3 year 36,000 miles.
