I didn't know he had 18" rims. My 05 and many others came with 17". Truth be told I don't understand why anyone would want the hassle of trying to switch between DR's and street tires on the same rim. Pretty dumb to me. Just pick up a cheap set of 17" rims and keep them mounted and then just make the switch on track day. Before I got the bogarts, I ran 17" cobra rims with the ET streets for about a year.

I may have jumped the gun on the BFG's if you are using them for an all around tire. If you only have one set of rims, then the MT's are NOT the way to go cause they won't last long. If you have only one tire for street and track, then I would recommend the BFG's over the Nittos all day long. No, you won't get as good performance as the MT's but you will get a little better than street tires that's for sure.

The difference is so huge though, I just can't see not putting out the small investment for a backup set of rims for your track tires. Then again, it's all relative to how often you go to the track I suppose.

I have a set of the 26x11.5/17 ET Streets in my garage that are mounted on the 05 premium wheels. I ran them at the track for 4 passes and the clutch just about died. So they have sat in there since then. I ran 1.74 60ft. on them and 1.78 on my stock Pirelli's. No traction devices at all. I suggest a clutch before you go with those or slicks and 5000rpm launches. I say perfect the launch on your radials before you put stickies out back.

Do you have any flex with the metco LCAs? That was the biggest thing I've heard bad about the billet aluminum LCAs out there vs. tubular steel(chromoly in particular) LCAs. If you run adjustable lowers is there still a need to have an adjustable UCA? I guess having another dimension that you can adjust can't hurt.

My best advice is that why wouldn't you want adjustable anything? It just seems to me that in the event you need to change your set-up for any reason, you have that option. IMHO it is more important to get the adjustable upper than lower though. If you ever get into your rear end or change your DS or play with your angles, you're going to need it. Yes, I get a little flex but those metcos are right for ME and MY set-up. I launch extremely hard (5000 rpm on transbrake with 1.4's 60' and working on 1.3's) so again, it is all relative to what you need. I still stand by (from what you described) the tubular BMR or CHE would be a good buy for you.

Sir, that is a GREAT 60' on pirelli's...my hats off to you...

I hope people are listening to you about the clutch. I R&D'd for Clutchmaster (their stage 4) and smoked 4 clutches (each time within days) and that is when I was on the stock longblock at 526 rwhp.

Got mine local off a wrecked one, but they are on ebay all the time. Saleen has stock take off wheels and tires for $299 in the latest 5.0 mag.

Thanks for the compliment on my 60ft's. Seems like alot of people have a hard time believing it for some reason.

I gotta check, I am pretty sure I measured it 2 days ago and the measurement was like 14.8 or 7.4 from the center of the axle to the caliper. Will see
