Actually, I just did last night(was racing a Lexus ES350, I know, I know-yes I smoked him) and I hit about 150mph(speedo reading) I'm sure it's between 143-148mph or so. Was my last night of taking it easy(I just reached a 1000 miles). A GT should surpass 140 with ease(my did). Oil change time now....just to be sure.

I've gone 210 km/h which is about 130 mph and my hood starts to shake in the wind violently...Don't know if any of you have experiences this?

I read quite a bit tryign to find out what the stock limit is and if I remember correctly it was 145mph stock.

I went to Brainerd (3 mile road course and drag strip) in May and hit 140mph completely stock except for better rubber.

I now have the JLT2 with evo's 93 tune and I don't know if Fred changes the top speed limiter (or removes it), but I hope to get past 145 now if I get a good run out of the last corner.

pretty sure its limited at 147 or 149 ...don't quote me though

At 153 mph the hood flies up and the rear spoiler is ripped from the car, the tires all go flat at once....that's how the computer limits the speed....its programmed in...if you get a 'Bama tune..it'll do about 157 mph before that all happens...that is of course unsubstantiated..

My '07 vert will do 135 mph with the top down....that was at Texas Motor Speedway driven around the outside ring road that interconnects all the parking lots....its about 15 mph slower than my 2000 Vette at comparable points...it topped out at about 165-168 mph...that would make the 'Stang about a 149 mph car.. 'bout right I guess....
