Default 2005 Mustang Gt $$$95,000 NOT GT500

Yep,

Just saw it sell on Barrett Jackson auction!

They talked it up the way they do but between you and me it was a Stock 05 with a custom painted hood and an expensive audio/video system. (they said 25K system) It had wheels that had the chrome lip painted to match the red leather. (nothing speacial)Nothing more from what I could see or hear!

I swear I am thinking about painting stripes on my car, fix the speed chips while they are at it and sell it at that auction to get the new Cobra!!!

FYI-1967 GT 500 fastback $280,00 (a guy from Van halens car)

1968 GT 500 Coupe $170,000 ish. Non star owned.

I'd be happy with $50.000 for mine and mannnnn could I talk it up!!!!

EDIT_----2007 Shelby Gt500 Fastback just sold for $600 ,000 !!!!! (Shelby was there watching) Money to help children causes!

I wouldn't sell mine forget that I love my car, shes my baby, besides best offer I had was by a dealer and they wern't even close to what I had in it they wanted to give me $40K YEA RIGHT....

BTW if you decide to get stripes painted go see Gary @ Gary Best Kustumz, tell him Matt told you to go see him, he'll hook you up.

Also are you gonna be at Ford Fever the 21/22 of Oct at MIR? I know I will be there, and gary is gonna be there on at least the 22nd. Let me know we can meet up ;P

mattblasi----I know what you mean about love of the Stang. I feel the same but for $50.000 I sell mine in a heart beat. I would jump all over a Cobra and start over with the custom work. To be honest I would probably do the exact same blk/chrome theme. When the dealer offered you that cash were you thnking of trading or something? How did that topic come up?

I like that Gary guys work but doubt I could afford him. I am starting to lean towards no stripes because so many people tell me how agressive my car looks without them. Not sure, maybe, maybe not. If I do get them I will go to him and tell him you hooked me up with him!

I did not know anythinh about Ford fever until you mentioned it, hmmmmmm Thats soon. I just might be able to swing that, will let you know so we can hook up and represent ya know! Maybe I should get together a mod/spec sheet to display in my window? Will let you know.

Oh yeah, keep in mind that was a stock 05 Gt that sold for that much! blk with red int. It had some custom paint on a stock hood. The wheels did not look any better than the ones I see around MF so I think the seller made out big time even if the audio/vid cost $25k I honestly think my car looked wayyyy better than that one.

petepete--- The wheels on my car or the 05 that sold for $95k with the painted lip I mentioned?

That was a repeat from last January's auction and the car was a Bonspeed car, which is partially owned by someone in VanHalen, so the car was probably a one off custom. At this point with the proliferation of 05+ Mustangs, I dont think they are so special or will bring a premium any more (unless its a GT500, for while).

Yeahhh, maybe they spliced a bunch of shows together (best off) or something because they had an 07 as well. Still think my car looked better even though I'm not in VanHalen. lol

Not really VanHalen anyway, more like VanHagar. DLR was a fool but was the man! Later
